A highly experienced and motivated operational leader in the Broadcast and Sustainability sectors, with a track record in delivering on business wide strategy initiatives and complex projects. This is driven by an instinct to evaluate and understand the challenges and risks at hand, make clear decisions, and take ownership of the outcomes, while motivating teams to collaborate and engage in and deliver against the objectives.
Charlie is passionate about sustainability, technology and the people that help make it happen. He has worked in the sector for over 30 years, with a specific focus on Sustainability in the last five, and has extensive contacts across the sector.
Previous Experience
Previous experience includes developing and leading the delivery of an integrated sustainability strategy for BBC Sport, working closely with other broadcasters (Sky, ITV, BT Sport) and international sporting federations to collaborate on industry wide strategies and deliverables.
It also includes the delivery of BBC Sport to new premises in Salford in 2010/11, technical design and project management of multiple major broadcast infrastructure projects, and delivery of major event broadcast coverage for BBC Sport, including FIFA World Cups & Olympic Games.
